McGoldrick's 25-game wait for a Premier League goal ended when his side Sheffield United faced static, clueless Chelsea defence with a close-range rebound after a Kepa Arrizabalaga save on 18 minutes.

At 33 minutes, Oli McBurnie's clinical header punished more poor Chelsea defence as the Blades secured another huge victory in their bid for European qualification when McGoldrick completed his double 13 minutes from time.

It was stubbornness and hard headedness thereafter as United were denied a fourth or even a fifth goal.

The resounding win and fourth consecutive victory in the Premier League takes the Blades to sixth position whilé the shameful display of the Blues could mean wins for Manchester United and Leicester City on Monday could see them drop to fifth.
