There has been a worldwide outcry of increased domestic violence against women and children since the Covid-19 outbreak forced most people to stay home for longer than they used to.

Kenya has, to most people's surprise become a hotbed of violence against men by their opposite gender, women who are nothing but bloodthirsty and so eager to kill.

Below is a compilation of a few cases that have been reported across the country.
Kenyan women have become so rogue men can't sleep

IKOLI VILLAGE, KAKAMEGA COUNTY
A woman in Ikoli village, Kakamega County allegedly stabbed her husband to death on April 4, 2020 after an altercation over a plate of ugali.

The couple is reported to have had a troubled marriage and efforts by elders to reconcile them had hit a snag.

The woman, aged 26, then stabbed herself in the stomach. It is alleged she was drunk at the time.

Ikoli Sub-Location Assistant Chief Walter Namutali said the couple had a troubled marriage and had separated for a year and had talked to them many times to try and resolve their differences hoping they would live peacefully but the disagreements have continued.

The woman is admitted to the Kakamega County General Hospital.

The husband, identified as Brian Indumuli, was aged 35. He succumbed to his injuries while he was being rushed to hospital.

KAYOLE, NAIROBI COUNTY
A 24 year old woman is fighting for her life at Mama Lucy hospital after attempting to commit suicide.

The woman, Winnie Frenduku allegedly tried to commit suicide moments after killing her two children following a quarrel with her mother in Kayole.

According to her mother Josephine Wambui, Frenduku stabbed her 6 year old daughter and 2 year old son at around 9 pm on Saturday after a quarrel with her mother.

The mother had allegedly asked her to stop chatting on her phone and feed her two year old.

The mother said she went to put her plate away after eating only to return and find her daughter holding a bloodied knife.

The distraught mother says, the 24 year old has always had issues with the fact that her husband who is currently based in Qatar, left her and does not provide for the kids.

The bodies of the two children have since been moved to City mortuary.

Investigations into the matter are still ongoing.

GAKAWA VILLAGE, KIENI, NYERI COUNTY
Joyce Wangui, 45, allegedly drowned the two children – Joseph Ngatia, 4, and Mary Gakii aged 10 months – before hanging herself.

The bodies were discovered by the deceased’s eldest son Ibrahim Nderitu, 17.

Kieni OCPD Michael Mbaluku said police recovered a handwritten suicide note which indicated she took the decision due to poverty.

The suicide note further instructed her neighbours to bury her body and that of her two children as their last respects to her, or if they were not ready, leave the bodies to decompose in the house.

It is the woman’s eldest son, who is a Form Three student at the nearby Gakawa Secondary School who discovered his mother’s body dangling from the roof.

After ransacking the house, the teenager found bodies of his siblings stuffed in the water tank in the house.

Nderitu reported the matter to the local chief, who later called the police.

Mbaluku said the bodies were taken to Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination and preservation.

KIKUYU, KIAMBU COUNTY
A woman was on Thursday charged with murdering her boyfriend of two years in a squabble over who would wash utensils after supper.

Susan Njeri Wachiuri, 25, is accused of stabbing Kelvin Njenga Ng’ang’a 11 times using a knife.

Njenga had visited Ms Wachiuri two days before the Easter weekend in order to celebrate with her.

Before Milimani High Court Judge James Wakiaga, the accused denied committing the crime on April 9 at White House within Tena Estate in Nairobi.

“I apply to be admitted to bond. Article 49 of the Constitution allows all suspects arraigned [for] any offence to be admitted to bond,” she pleaded.

State prosecutor Wangui Gichuhi asked the court to direct the suspect to file a formal application alongside written submissions for her response.

She said the investigatng officer would file a sworn affidavit in opposition to Ms Wachiuri’s prayer.

Justice Wakiaga set the hearing for May 14 through Skype, due to regulations to curb the spread of Covid-19.

He ordered the application filed through the normal court process.

GITOO-INI VILLAGE, KIRINYAGA COUNTY
Police in Kirinyaga County are investigating an incident in which a 4-month-old baby girl died under mysterious circumstances in Gitoo-ini village, Kirinyaga county.

The baby’s mother was drinking beer at her male neighbour’s  house in the company of a local pastor’s wife when the incident happened.

Speaking after the incident, the 35-year-old Sarah Waruguru who is the mother of the deceased said she had been invited for a beer by her neighbour Mathew Waweru.

Waruguru who has since recorded a statement over the matter said they had been drinking since 8am on Saturday and only paused when they had downed all the beers.

Confirming the incident, Mwea-west sub-county police commander Aden Alio said the matter was reported to the Kangai police post by Thomas Chomba- the deceased’s uncle.

Mwea-west police boss says police will proceed with their investigations after a post-mortem scheduled for Monday.

The three have since recorded statements at the Kangai police station pending investigation into the death that has left local residents shell shocked.

UMOJA, NAIROBI COUNTY
A 29-year-old woman has been arrested in Umoja after she stabbed her 33-year-old boyfriend to death.

The matter was reported to the Buruburu police station at around 8.30PM on Sunday by an officer attached to IEBC’s Wafula Chebukati.

Okello was reportedly rushed to the Mama Lucy hospital bleeding profusely where he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.

Thereafter, officers from the Buruburu police station visited the scene of crime where they discovered a pool of blood believed to be Okello’s in the living room.

A kitchen knife believed to have been used as the murder weapon was also recovered at the late Okello’s house.

The suspect who was identified by the neighbours after the incident has since been arrested and is in police custody.

The woman has since denied wielding the knife that had killed her lover but admitted that there was a knife lying close by during their fight.
