Kenya recorded 127 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 1, 745 as announced by Health Chief Administrative Secretary, Dr. Mercy Mwangangi.

The 127, who are all Kenyans, were discovered in 3, 831 samples tested between Thursday and Friday.

DEATHS

Four persons died of the disease, bringing to 62 the total number of fatalities arising from COVID-19. All the deceased patients come from Mombasa, and had underlying medical conditions, including diabetes, hypertension and asthma, said Dr. Mwangangi.

RECOVERIES

Seventeen (17) more persons recovered from COVID-19 in Kenya, pushing the total number of recoveries to 438, said CAS Mwangangi.
